Optimal Health Plan
 
 
The Optimal Health Plan was developed for all health goals not specifically related to body composition or athletic performance.  If your primary goal is to feel better, this is the plan for you.  Perhaps you want to boost your energy levels, improve your mood, learn how to deal better with stress, improve your sleep, figure out why your stomach "just doesn't feel right," or increase your libido.  Maybe you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or depression and you want a better solution than more prescription medications with side effects.  Perhaps you feel pretty good in general but want to find out how to optimize your health, vitality and longevity.  Regardless of your health concern, we can help!

As mentioned on the How We Work page, we follow the principals of Functional Medicine.  We will search for the underlying route causes as to why you don't feel your best.  We will work in partnership with you as "detectives" to identify those causes and address them one by one.  Our initial focus will be on whole food nutrition because as Hippocrates said so eloquently, "Let thy food be thy medicine, and let thy medicine be thy food."  We will also discuss supplements, exercise, lifestyle changes, stress reduction techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy based on your needs.

The content of your plan will depend on your specific health goals; however, at a minimum, it will include the following:
  • Extensive education on healthy nutrition including nutrition binder and cookbook
  • Food diary review
  • Exercise program development
  • Lab test recommendations (conventional labs as well as specialized testing options for vitamins/nutrients, hormones, food sensitivities, etc.)
  • Mobile lab technician service (blood draw performed in comfort of your own home or office)
  • Targeted supplement plan to address your specific health concerns
  • Plan for weaning off prescription medications (if indicated)
  • Lifestyle modification
  • Stress reduction techniques
  • Coaching on how to commit to and achieve your goals
  • Unlimited email support between consultations
Follow-up consultations are scheduled either weekly or bi-weekly.  The frequency of the consultations is at your discretion, although we do recommend at least bi-weekly consultations so that any questions you have can be answered and your program can be adjusted to ensure you are progressing towards your goals.  The Optimal Health Plan is available in 4, 8 or 12 visit packages.
